Dave Richards
Artisan Silversmith
Dave Richards is an award-winning Native American Silversmith of Cherokee ancestry (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, Tribal Registration # 140754). His creativity was ignited after a Jewelry-making class at a local community college. From that point on, Dave studied Silversmith Artistry from books, other Native American silversmith mentors, and old-fashioned dedication to perfect his craft.
Over the past 30 years, he has developed his own design style with simple yet elegant pieces that are worn by his customers worldwide. His work is handcrafted using sterling silver and hand-picked natural stones. Dave allows the natural beauty of each stone to dictate its design, whether it be a ring, pendant, bracelet, earring or custom order. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original piece of art that is hand-stamped with his name in Cherokee and stamped as sterling silver (.925)
As an Oklahoma resident, Dave participates in many local events and Native American Art Shows. He placed second in the Jewelry category of the Cherokee Heritage Center Art Show and Sale with the prize-winning piece selling before the show even opened.
Dave loves collaborating on custom orders so if you have a stone you need set or a design idea you’d love to see come to life, let us know. You can email Dave directly via our "Contact Page".
